Happy Easter

Do you remember the big-eyed look on  your face Easter morning, when you'd run downstairs and find your Easter basket loaded with candy?  It was like Christmas in April.  My daughter's eyes bugged out the moment she saw me begin this tablescape.

Pink and Green are two of my favorite colors, especially when they are combined.  Easter is the perfect time to pair them together.

Time for a bit of whimsey.  Easter requires it.

Hand painted bunnies.  Not painted by my hand.  A friend did them years ago.

I loved the jellybean trees when I saw them.  The store only had two or I would have gotten more.

I found this basket in a thrift story.  It's beaded and I can't see why anyone would give it away.  I love the feel of the beads.

We haven't colored our eggs yet.  We'll do that Saturday afternoon.  It's always a fun project to do with the kids.

Happy Easter!

    1. Paula,

Thank you. I'd love to share, only I'm so new at this, that I don't know how to do that.

  2. Love this table!!! I have such great memories of Easter as a child! I still make a basket for Easter brunch and I am getting up there in years so it's been going on for a long time!! We don't have children but my sisters certainly are happy to see the basket every year!! Your colors are wonderful and all of the eggs and animals are charming. Hope you and yours enjoy coloring eggs and have a Happy Easter!

    1. I have a lot of sisters and only one brother. Easter meant a lot of candy for us after church. I loved it. For the next few days we had candy and colored eggs. I make huge baskets for my kids. It's fun for all of us. Easter also makes the house of festive. Spring is really here when that happens. Today I even caught some rabbits in the yard playing.
